The Grade 8 and Grade 9 Concert Bands will travel to Summerside by school bus to perform on Wednesday, April 5th. The Grade 8 Band will take the stage at 10:00 and the Grade 9 Band will perform at 1:00. Students will return to Stonepark in time for the afternoon dismissal. The performances are open to the public and admission is FREE! Come out to support the wonderful music that Island youth are performing.

Parent Volunteers Needed – Due to national transportation safety regulations and limited seating on the school busses, large instruments such as tubas, baritone saxophones, trombones and baritones need to be transported to Summerside by private vehicles. Three parent/family volunteers who have vans are needed to transport large instruments to the PEI Band Days performance venue. If you can support the band students in this capacity, please email Mrs. Sorensen at sdsorensen@edu.pe.ca Thank you in advance!

Items students need to bring to PEI Band Days:

  • A bagged lunch. The lunch break is only 30 minutes long and there are no fast-food businesses close by. Students will be eating lunch on the premises
  • Instrument
  • Music
  • Reeds/Oil etc.
  • Water Bottle
  • Students are to come to school in their band uniform

***Out of respect for all participating students, cell phone use will not be permitted during scheduled performances***
