PEI Central Area Band Camp – Registration Information

Intermediate and Senior Band Camp: Band Camp is an excellent opportunity for intermediate and senior students to advance their playing skills and prepare for the new school year! This opportunity is available for all Grade 7, Grade 8, and Grade 9 Stonepark Band students. Annually, a large number of Stonepark Intermediate Band students attend this camp!

The aim of the camp is to provide intermediate and senior students an opportunity to advance their playing skills and prepare for the new school year.

Camp staff are professional instructors and assistants who teach flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, baritone, trombone, tuba, and percussion. Classes will include instrumental technique, small ensembles, and band rehearsals.

The camp will be held from Monday, August 19th to Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at Colonel Gray High School.  The schedule is:

Beginner Camp:  Monday-Friday, 9:00 – 11:30 am (beginner saxophone students who have successfully auditioned will attend this camp)

Intermediate/Senior Camp: Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 3:00 pm (new percussionists who have successfully auditioned will attend the all-day camp)

Parents will be required to provide transportation to and from the school.  All students should bring a water bottle and a snack each day.  Intermediate/Senior campers must bring lunch each day as there will not be an opportunity for them to leave the school property.

Please note: Band Camp is nut-free and scent-free.

The fee for the camp is $100.00  – there are two options for payment: 

1) Pay by cheque – make the cheque payable to Stonepark Intermediate School (post-dated cheques are not accepted).

2) Pay by cash – students can pay in the office or through Mrs. Sorensen. Receipts will be given for cash payments.

The $100 non-refundable fee MUST accompany the registration form for the student to be officially registered.  The form and fee are to be returned to the band teacher of the school your child will be attending in September. Late registration forms may not be accepted.
